Internet sensations Mia Asano and Ally The Piper brought their collaboration group Mia X Ally to the Harrah’s VooDoo Lounge in Kansas City, Missouri on Friday, November 10, 2023. Currently on their The Devil Went Down To Georgia Tour, they are touring to promote their latest album The Viral Hits.

Both classically trained on their respective instruments (Ally on the bagpipes and Mia on the electric violin), these two are masters in their craft. The duo played through several songs throughout the night, both together and separately. This approach gave the audience a great demonstration of Mia and Ally’s individual skills on their respective intruments. They played through many songs off of their album, as well as several of their personal favorites and originals too. One such song was Labyrinth (Mia’s version, since pop sensation Taylor Swift was unable to attend the show due to being in Argentina at the time, even though she has been spending a fair amount of time in the Kansas City area with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce).
A very notable part of Mia X Ally‘s show was shortly after the intermission. The two took a moment to talk about mental health awareness. Both Mia and Ally are strong advocates for suicide prevention. They have partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and To Write Love on Her Arms in this effort. Proceeds from Mia’s Go Go Power Rangers song, and Ally’s Emotional Support Axes will be split between these two organizations. Personally, I want to thank the two for including this in their show. As someone who has lost close friends to suicide, taking the time to shine the spotlight on this was very meant the world to me.

The rest of the show was electric. The two played through songs like Ozzy Osbourne’s Crazy Train (with some audience participation too), and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Free Bird. They ended their set with a highly energetic and entertaining version of the famous Charlie Daniels Band song, The Devil Went Down To Georgia.
As they thanked the audience for attending and began to exit the stage, touring guitarist Dov Beck-Levine silently chanted and motioned to the audience “One More Song, One More Song!” Mia and Ally returned to the stage for a crazy good and insane rendition of Dragonforce’s hit song Through the Fire and Flames.
Mia X Ally is Mia Asano on electric violin, Ally the Piper (Ally Crowley-Duncan) on the bagpipes, Dov Beck-Levine on guitar, and Dominic Maraffa III on drums.
If Mia X Ally comes through your area, get out there and catch their show. It will not disappoint.
