As I Lay Dying Brings Heavy Energy to Kansas City 2024

As I Lay Dying made a stop in Kansas City, Missouri to perform at The Truman venue on July 17, 2024.

Currently on their Summer 2024 Tour with Entheos and Chelsea Grin, As I Lay Dying brought a chaotic night of metal to a sizable crowd of metal fans in KC. At the start of their set, they took to the stage under flashing and circulating lights from backstage while waving to the fans. The crowd went wild and cheered as each member got into position. They started off with their hit song “Nothing Left” and then went into “Falling Upon Deaf Ears.” The audience was so energetic, giving the same energy back to the band that they were given first.

As I Lay Dying’s skill is insane. From the fast pitched guitar work of Phil Sgrosso and Ken Susi to the blistering beats of Nick Pierce on the drums to the deep bass guitar of Ryan Neff and the Rough but powerful vocals of Tim Lambesis, they sure take you on a wild ride through each song. The band had fans headbanging and throwing up their metal horns (hand gesture) all night long.

One thing that really stood out to me that I was personally happy to see was when Tim Lambesis paused the show between songs to occasionally check on the fans and make sure they were doing okay as it does get very hot in the front rows of the crowd and people have been known to pass out before.

If you are a fan of metal and want a night of heaviness and lots of energy, I highly suggest catching As I Lay Dying on one of their upcoming shows! Click here to see the remaining tour dates
