Flogging Molly, an Irish-American Celtic punk-rock group hailing from Los Angeles, came to Kansas City to perform at The Truman with The Vandoliers and Russkaja on Friday, March 11, 2022.

When Flogging Molly took the stage, the venue was packed. People packed together, beers in hands, and enjoying every second of the show. Lead vocalist, Dave King ran out on stage with a massive grin and had this awesome energy about him. he was there to have fun. Between playing, singing, and joking around with the crowd, it seemed everyone was having a great time.

The band played through several hit songs such as Drunken lullabies, The Devil’s Dance Floor, These Times Have Me Drinking, and even some new material such as A Song For Liberty. The band even dedicated their song Crushed (Hostile Nations) to the people of Ukraine. This was a beautiful addition to the night, showing that the group uses their stage to bring awareness to issues and attrocities currently going on around the globe.
Overall, the entire night was a blast. All three bands brought their own style of energy and fun. The music was great. Definitely looking forward to these groups returning to the KC area soon!
